Gevels in de Kloosterstraat rondom de pop-up

Kloosterstraat as a temporary pop-up for Atelier Formo

Anyone walking through Kloosterstraat immediately feels that this is no ordinary shopping street. Among antique shops, vintage stores, galleries, and small independent makers, there's an atmosphere that cannot be planned. It's a place where objects have a past, where stories accumulate, and where authenticity is more important than perfection.

For Atelier Formo, it therefore felt natural to find a home base here. Not as a display window, but as an extension of what we do. Kloosterstraat breathes the same values as our furniture: character, individuality, and a certain tranquility, despite the city around it.

In a time when everything has to be faster, newer, and cheaper, this neighborhood forms a counterbalance. Here you are allowed to look, compare, and doubt. Here you take your time. This perfectly aligns with how we approach Danish vintage. Each piece requires attention, both in selection and restoration, and ultimately in the choice of its new owner.

Our showroom in Kloosterstraat is not a classic store with a fixed assortment. We display a rotating selection of furniture that is available at that moment. Each piece is unique and often seen only once. That's precisely what makes a visit worthwhile. What you see today might be gone tomorrow, and what arrives tomorrow will surprise again.

The street itself is not a backdrop, but an active context. Visitors who step inside are often already sensitive to vintage, design, and craftsmanship. They don't just happen by, but come deliberately. This leads to conversations that go beyond price or dimensions. About materials, origin, lifespan, and how a piece of furniture can find a place in a contemporary interior.

For us, Kloosterstraat is also a place to keep learning. The proximity of other makers, restorers, and traders creates an exchange. Ideas are shared, styles influence each other, and craftsmanship remains in motion. That keeps us sharp and inspired.

Atelier Formo is therefore inseparable from its environment. Kloosterstraat is not a marketing choice, but a logical consequence of how and why we work. A place where furniture with a past finds its place again, and where people consciously choose quality, character, and timelessness.

Visitors to our showroom don't just see furniture, but also the context to which it belongs. And perhaps that is the best way to understand Atelier Formo.
