Our workshop

de werkbank in het atelier

Where Danish vintage is given a second life

In our workshop, the second chapter of each piece of furniture begins. This is where pieces are unpacked, inspected, dismantled and rebuilt. No quick fixes, but careful work carried out with respect for the materials and construction.

From discovery to workbench

Every piece of furniture we bring back from Denmark arrives here first. We examine it thoroughly…the condition of the wood, the joints, the veneer and the stability. Some pieces only require a deep cleaning. Others demand more time and attention. For each piece, we decide what is needed to restore its value without losing its character.

For each object, we decide what is needed to restore its value without losing its character. Traces of time may remain. Structural weaknesses, however, should not.

Dismantling and repair

Most pieces are made from teak, oak or rosewood,  woods that only become more beautiful with age. In the workshop you can see how the wood comes back to life once it has been cleaned and nourished.

The warm tones, the grain and the subtle imperfections, that is exactly what gives these pieces their soul.

Material with history.

Open Workshop

Several times a year we open the doors of our workshop for those who would like to take a look behind the scenes. During these days you can see our storage and workshop, discover new finds and browse calmly among the vintage pieces.

It is an informal moment to ask questions, feel the materials and learn the story behind our furniture. Not a typical shop experience, but an open house where craftsmanship and passion take centre stage.
